SummaryResponsible for the overall operation of the Pocono Ambulatory Surgery Center. Operational management will include financial management, clinical services management, credentialing, accreditation, risk abatement, and materials management.
Job Duties
- Adheres to established facility safety requirements and procedures to ensure a safe working
environment.
- Completes all Teammate/patient event and Variance documentation in a thorough and timely manner, as required by policy.
- Practices and takes responsibility for implementation of the infection control program, standard precautions and universal precautions..
- Completes appropriate financial management responsibilities.
- Provides plan for equipment needs/supply needs. Prepares budget and plans for and submits Capital purchases. Manages supply costs and equipment costs.
- Reviews and manages patient charges in accordance with facility procedure and per facility policy. Approves CDM changes and understands billing theory.
- Engages housekeeping services/staff assignments as necessary to provide a safe environment for patient's, teammates, physicians, guests.
- Utilizes cost containment techniques and trains teammates.
- Coordinates/Leads clinical Quality Council, Medical Executive Committee, Governing Body and Partnership meetings. Set tone and conducts staff meetings and demonstrates review of minutes.
- Participates and performs scheduled performance appraisals and demonstrates dedication to ongoing performance improvement.
- Fosters a positive and professional facility environment by interacting with all persons in a considerate, helpful and courteous manner and by participating as a team member
Minimum Qualifications- Specialized Diploma Nursing
- Operational management experience such as budgeting, financial management, clinical services management, credentialing, accreditation, risk abatement, computer and software, responsible materials management are keystones of the position.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree Nursing or
- Master’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or Management or equivalent experience
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
