Pocono residents no longer have to leave the county to receive cardiovascular and thoracic testing and treatments. The newly expanded ESSA Heart and Vascular Institute provides all of the care patients need on one site, close to home. Surgical services include:

APPOINTMENTS, REFERRALS & FEES
Referrals for cardiovascular and thoracic (CT) surgery consultations will be accepted from the patient's cardiologist, pulmonologist or primary care provider. Self-referral may be accepted on a case-by-case basis and only after proper diagnostic testing as required by the CT surgeon is obtained.

CT surgery staff will prescribe and maintain appropriate medication related to the surgery and recovery for up to 30 days after surgery. After 30 days, the patient will be referred to their cardiologist, pulmonologist or primary care provider for further treatment.
