Pocono Medical Center conducts an annual Upward Bound Asthma Camp for children, ages 7-13 (must have completed 2nd grade). The camp is held at East Stroudsburg University's Stony Acres in Marshalls Creek the third weekend in June. Camp includes fun filled days and evening activities, along with important asthma management information, for children with asthma.

This two-night adventure provides all children with knowledge they need to manage and control their asthma. In addition to having lots of fun with other children dealing with asthma, the children gain self-confidence, independence, and develop responsibility skills for their asthma management.

Campers are supervised by a team of experienced volunteers including healthcare professionals. There is a charge for the camp. There are a limited number of camp scholarships available for those with financial need.
