||Mo Lareef, MD
Dr. Lareef is a surgical oncologist practicing at the Dale & Frances Hughes Cancer Center. He specializes in surgical oncology for all types of cancer including thyroid, skin, colorectal, gastric, and liver, and is highly experienced in breast cancer surgery. In addition, Dr. Lareef’s expertise includes cancer research, diagnosis, and surgery, and he has more than 15 years of experience in his field.
He earned his medical degree at Tver State Medical Academy in Tver, Russia, and completed his internship at Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. Dr. Lareef completed his residency in general surgery at Drexel University College of Medicine and Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was chief resident; and his fellowship in surgical oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia.
He is the recipient of the Guth Award, given by the Graduate Hospital to an exemplary house officer who displays compassion for the sick and regard to human dignity. Dr. Lareef is Board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the Surgical Society of Oncology and the American Association of Cancer Research.
