Prepared Childbirth and Breastfeeding Education Programs

The birth of a baby is a wonderful and exciting experience. As you prepare for your new arrival, you may consider taking advantage of some excellent resources we have for you here at Pocono Medical Center.
Attending childbirth education classes can help you obtain the knowledge, confidence and support you need during your pregnancy and after the birth of your baby.

Prepared Childbirth Class

All prepared childbirth classes are taught by registered nurses employed by Pocono Medical Center (PMC). Classes meet for four weeks as small groups in a comfortable classroom environment. During the two-hour class sessions pregnant mothers and their labor support persons will learn practical information about labor and delivery, breathing and relaxation exercises and caring for newborns. Classes are taught through interactive discussions, educational slides and videos.
