Sean P. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship

During his twenty-four years of life, Sean Patrick Cunningham distinguished himself with a gift for caring about people. Whether it was a friend who was homesick or someone who struggled to be accepted, Sean was always there for those who needed him. Sean was also known for his incredibly determined spirit. In addition to being a good student, he was dedicated to his baseball, soccer and golf teams. Sean touched many lives during his time at both Notre Dame High School and St. Joseph's University.

Sean passed away far too young from an accident on July 14, 2013. The Sean P. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship was then established to continue Sean's passion for helping those in need. Each year a deserving student who has qualities that Sean displayed, is in financial need, and is completing the final year of medical training will receive a scholarship through the Pocono Health Foundation.
