Delfor J. Salazar, MD, FAAP

After finishing Medical School at Universidad National de San Augustin in Arequipa, Peru, Dr. Salazar did a 2-year pediatric residency at the Nutritional Research Institute, British-American Hospital in Lima, Peru. He then went on to complete a pediatric residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City and post-doctoral Fellowship in neonatology at New York University School of Medicine. He was awarded the most Outstanding Attending of the Year from Brooklyn Jewish Hospital. Since 1978, Dr. Salazar has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles on perinatal disease. Dr. Salazar is Board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics.

Subhasri Sangam, MD

Dr. Sangam is a Board certified neonatologist and Assistant Medical Director of Neonatology at Pocono Medical Center (PMC). She has extensive experience in managing high risk term and preterm infants and actively participates in quality improvement projects, patient safety programs, departmental policies and procedures, and scheduling.

Dr. Sangam received her medical degree in 1992 from Ranga Raya Medical College, Andhra University in India in 1992 where she was awarded with the university’s best rank and medal for her outstanding performance in obstetrics and gynecology and served as class representative. In 2006, she joined Metropolitan Hospital Center in New York, NY, a New York Medical School program, and completed her residency in pediatrics. Dr. Sangam completed her fellowship training in neonatal-perinatal medicine at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia, PA in 2010 where she was chief fellow and was nominated for the Fellow Basic Research Award for her work as a researcher.

Before joining PMC, Dr. Sangam worked as an attending neonatologist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Langhorne, PA, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, Regional Newborn Center in Trenton, NJ, and Regional Newborn Center at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, NJ. She also serves as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children.
