Message from Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono
Board of Directors Chairman
W. Andrew Worthington

It is my great honor and privilege to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono (LVH-P). LVH-P provides Monroe County and the surrounding areas with world class care, close to home in their vision of creating a healthier community. With that vision towards the future, LVH-P has expanded and added services to the already well-equipped healthcare system.

There have been so many accomplishments from LVH-P, most significantly the award-winning Dale & Frances Hughes Cancer Center, which was recently named one of the top 100 Hospitals and Health systems with Great Oncology Programs by Beckers Hospital Review. Providing expert physicians, the latest technology and a multi-faceted approach to cancer care for decades, the Hughes Cancer Center has become such an asset to the surrounding community.

In addition to the Cancer Center, LVH-P constantly strives to offer more services according to the needs of the community, such as endocrinology and advanced wound care. These new additions not only bring a higher level of healthcare to the area but also compliment the established quality care delivered by our Board certified, specialized team. Our ESSA Heart and Vascular Institute has received national recognition for superior cardiac care and both our Trauma Department and Neo-natal Care Unit (NICU) carry level III designations, providing critical care to adults and fragile newborns in need. It’s these services that allow the community to breathe a little easier, knowing their health is in good hands if the time comes.

LVH-P is proud to serve the community and as we look toward the future, we keep our finger on the pulse of the population. Whatever healthcare issues need to be addressed, we will be there, ready to take on the challenge of creating a healthier community; to continue providing world class care, close to home.
